“The House provides a safe, welcoming environment for everyone who longs for meaningful connections, faith-based living, and friendships that are unmatched. I am forever grateful for the opportunity I was gifted to live here!”

- Grace Klee, Sophomore, Music and English

One of the Newman House's main goals is to be a space where authentic and lasting friendships can be built. Between our women’s nights, sisterhood events, and service opportunities, the Newman House hopes to provide opportunities for your college experience to be shaped by Christ-centered community.

Hospitality Events

Women's Nights

Around once a month the Newman House hosts a speaker to share about a specific topic. Past topics have included women in medicine, dating, media, authentic friendship, and the relationship between faith and food.

Painting Nights

The Newman House hosts painting nights for anyone to come and spend some time getting in touch with their creative side (or at least discover the joy of painting, even if all you ever do with it is show your mom!).

Brunch

The Newman House also hosts the community for brunch after Mass a couple times per year. Everyone is welcome to enjoy some homemade food and time to relax before that Sunday afternoon study session!

Sisterhood

Family Dinner

Each Monday night the women of the Newman House gather to share dinner together as a house. Often at the meal there will be announcements and discussion of upcoming events. From time to time, the RA will prepare a sisterhood activity for the residents to partake in together, as well.

House Bonding

From spontaneous movie nights to craft projects to decorating the house for Christmas, there are always opportunities for making memories with other residents.
