The community here is always so positive and supportive. I love having the women around to talk, eat, study, and pray with. I also enjoy having the chapel always available as a quiet place for prayer and a constant reminder that Jesus is calling us to Him daily.

One of the Newman House's biggest goals is to be a place to build lasting friendships. Between our hospitality and sisterhood events and opportunities for service, the Newman House hopes to make your college experience better than you could have imagined.

Hospitality Events

Women's Nights

Three times per semester the Newman House hosts a speaker who is an expert on some topic of interest to the modern Catholic woman. Past topics have included women in medicine, dating, female friendship, and the relationship between faith and food.

Painting Nights

Each semester the women's house hosts a painting night for anyone to come and spend some time getting in touch with their creative side (or at least discover the joy of creating, even if all you ever do with it is show your mom).

The Newman House hosts the community for brunch after mass at least once per semester. Everyone is welcome to enjoy some homemade food and time to relax before that Sunday afternoon study session!

Sisterhood Events

House Nights

Each week the Newman House gathers for a shared meal and to discuss any upcoming events or house business. Afterwards the RA makes sure there is some sort of activity that residents can stay for to spend time together and relax before the business of week.

House Outings

A couple of times per semester the Newman House sponsors a fun outing for all the residents of the house such as trips to the movies or hiking at the state park.
